Zakopane,
the city beautifully situated at the foot of the Tatra mountains, offers a wide choice of free time activities. Late May weather in Zakopane is usually sunny and mild, inviting outdoor recreation. Typical daytime temperatures are between 15 and 20 deg C (60-70 F). Be sure to bring sturdy walking boots and clothing suitable for excursions and strolls. Short hiking trips into the Tatra Mountains National Park will be organized. For those who enjoy swimming, the Aqua Park Zakopane complex housing indoor and outdoor geotermal pools, is situated just beside the conference hotels. During your visit to Zakopane you will also have a unique chance to become acquainted with the folklore of the mountaineers.
